While Granddad and Grampa and Nana were all in town we took a drive down to Sweet Berry Farm to take the boys to the pumpkin patch there. See more photos from the outing here.

When Grampa and Nana were here in July, we took Henry to a petting zoo. Needless to say, he had a blast! It seems he had a particular bond with the bantam rooster! Also, he met a little calf that he named Lil' Pat of Butter for his Aunt Belinda until she and HG get a Butter of their own!

Henry had his first swim in a big pool the other day at his Mimi's. He loved it. We all had a blast swimming around and splashing in the pool. Henry worked on his back floating and kicking. He also really enjoyed lounging in his baby float. Not many pictures, because all the photographers decided to get in the water.

Our first balloon was a big red one! Henry, Karen and I went to a suprise birthday party for our friend Hays. It was a great time, and Henry got to meet some other kids his age--some of whom he liked, some he didn't.
Steve Guttenberg also was into the balloon, and tried a couple of times to take it away.
The balloon still retained it's allure the following day, even after all of the helium had escaped.
Henry is staying on the lookout for any more balloons that might be in his future.
Lindsey and Joey came to town last weekend. Joey had a gig at Ed's Seafood Shack and we all went to listen to him play. Henry enjoyed dancing to the music! Somehow we missed any photos with Joey, so here's one with Lindsey. If someone caught a snap with Joey, let us know and we'll post it!
Update: A few more pictures, but still no good ones of Henry with Joey. We'll just have to make an effort to make sure we do next time we see Linds and Joey. --mrhanlon
While Maynard was in town, Karen, Maynard, Henry and I took a day trip to Fairhope, AL for the annual Arts & Crafts Festival. We saw many interesting things and even bought a couple wooden toys from an artisan from Alvin, Texas (where Karen's grandfather is from). While in town, we had to visit our old stomping grounds and see Rich and Gina at the Ravenite.
We ventured down to the 20th Annual Mobile Chili Cook-off to see what was happening. There was some good chili and some not-so-good chili, but a great time all around.
The event benefits the American Cancer Society.
Last weekend was the annual First Light Marathon and benefit concert in Bienville Square Park, so Henry, Mommy and Daddy walked down to enjoy the show- WALK being the operative word since none of us are quite up to running marathons these days. The morning was suprisingly cold for Mobile so we warmed up by having Sunday brunch at Wintzells Oyster House. Henry makes friends wherever he goes and was soon chatting with our server Gina- who has a brother named Henry! A good time was had by all but Henry will have to wait a few years before enjoying Wintzells' signature dish of raw oysters.
